Stage III.

Translation and adaptation of the Teach-IT.net method to the demands of Ukrainian educational legislation, Ukrainian specifics and needs. Testing the method in practice.

Teach-IT.net is a training system developed specially for teachers. The method encompasses all the important aspects of IT use as a valuable instructional tool, and instruction according to the method is realized in three areas: the Computer in teaching, the Internet in Teaching, Multimedia in teaching. There are a total of 10 instructional modules, each of which can be the basis for lessons, depending on the level of qualification of the teacher in the field of information technologies.

The materials developed by our Polish partners will not be blindly translated into the Ukrainian language but will go through deep, expert adaptation to Ukrainian conditions. All the pilot assignments will be given in the Ukrainian language and the Ukrainian trainers will conduct them with the use of textbooks and materials in their native language.

According to the stated goals, activities are planned in the following areas:

1. Translation, editing, and adaptation of the methodological materials to the demands of the national system of education and publishing textbooks in the Teach-IT.net method.

2. Conducting presentational pilot training for teacher in various parts of Ukraine (Lviv, Kyiv, Donetsk).

3. Testing the method on Ukrainian ground. This will consist in the organization of a two-week summer school in the study of modern information technologies according to the Teach-IT.net method, conducted as an elective course in IT study in UCU’s instructional program.

We believe that, by adapting a new method to the Ukrainian context, conducting corresponding work to introduce and popularize it, printing textbooks and gaining the support of our sympathizers among experts and directors of education in Ukraine, we will be able to reach the widest circle of Ukrainian educators.
