11.12.2006. Information Technologies in Ukrainian Schools
The conference “The question of information technologies in the system of secondary education in Ukraine” was dedicated to the theme of using modern technologies in preparing teachers and teaching students of secondary schools.
08.12.2006 Attention! Summary Conference!
On Friday 8 December 2006, a summary conference on the second stage of the project “Building an educated society in Ukraine. Using information technologies in innovative ways in the professional improvement of teachers” will be held in Lviv.
16-20.10.2006. The presentation of the program to managers of centers for further education
The Teach-IT.net program was presented in the city of Truskavets from 16-20 October 2006. Instructional training under the title “Information-communications technology in the system of education” was conducted for vice rectors and assistant directors of regional institutes of post-diploma pedagogical education.
18.10.2006 The Presentation of the Project
On 18 October, the program Teach-IT.net was presented at the Ivan Franko National Pedagogical University in Drohobych at a seminar called “Instructional and methodological provisions for teaching informatics in general educational institutions.”
9-14.10.2006 Training in Gliwice
From 9 to 14 October in Gliwice, Poland, intensive training sessions for the Ukrainian work group were conducted. The group included 14 people, teachers, methodological specialists, trainers, and representatives of boards of education and non-profit educational organizations from various areas of Ukraine. The cooperation recently started by the introduction among Ukrainian teachers of the educational program Teach-IT.net as part of the project “Teach-IT.net - Building up an educated society in Ukraine. Innovative methods for using information and communications technologies in the professional improvement of teachers” continues.
22-23.09.2006 Meeting of coordinators of the project
The regular working meeting of coordinators of the program from Ukraine and the Polish partners from KANA was held in Gliwice.
20.09.2006 The head of the Lviv Region Board of Education supported the initiative
The initiative regarding the program Teach-It.net was supported by the head of the Lviv Region Board of Education, Pavlo Khobzei, and the director of the Lviv Region Institute of Post-Diploma Pedagogical Education, Roman Shyian.
17.09.2006 The new building of UCU
The new building of the Philosophy and Theology Faculty of the Ukrainian Catholic University is opened and dedicated; in these same premises it is planned to conduct training for Ukrainian teachers in the program Teach-It.net.
12.09.2006 A meeting with the first assistant of the Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine
A meeting was held with the aid to the first assistant of the Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, UCU graduate Olia Bosak, at which full support for the ideas and goals of the project were expressed. A letter of invitation to participation in the project was passed on to the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
