We are pleased to announce that work on the translation of the instructional materials with Teach-IT.net methods into the Ukrainian language has started, which is an obligatory element of the third stage of the program Teach-IT.net in Ukraine.

For all those who for the last six months have followed the development of the educational project “Building an educated society in Ukraine. Using information technologies in innovative ways in the professional improvement of teachers,” we are pleased to announce: work on the translation of the instructional materials with Teach-IT.net methods into the Ukrainian language has started, which is an obligatory element of the third stage of the program Teach-IT.net in Ukraine.
On 13 March the first work meeting of the translators and coordinators of the program was held on the premises of the Ukrainian Catholic University. As the result of competitive selection for this activity, 5 people were chosen. We recall that the demands set before the candidates require quick and stressful work and a high quality of results, for the translators in total must translate more than 2000 pages of text. Many questions will arise in the course of the work, for example in relation to harmonizing technical and educational terminology, so at the meeting there was particular emphasis on the ability to work in a group and to solve together problems and tasks that can arise in the process of translation.

It is understood that the translation of instructional literature is a relatively simple task for this stage of the program. However, further work on methods depends on the speed and quality of its execution, for ahead is still the difficult work of adapting the texts to Ukrainian conditions, testing what has been done through pilot training sessions in various regions of Ukraine, and carrying out the final, summary editing.
At the same time, the executors of the project continue an active search for additional financing and sponsors, without which the successful launch of this program, effective and extremely necessary for Ukrainian society, is not possible.
